Northwestern Mutual

Project: Northwestern Mutual

Financial services company Northwestern Mutual relocated its network office in 2023 to a new 26,000 sqft space in Jacksonville.

CCS was contracted to integrate their meeting and training rooms to incorporate video conferencing solutions. CCS used Sony, Crestron, Biamp and Huddly to create systems capable of local presentations along with premium video conferencing technology. CSS installed Biamp speakers and AVB Beamtracking Microphones in the ceilings of the conference rooms. These microphones deliver a superior audio experience by identifying and steering their focus toward presenters, allowing participants to move freely around a space while their voices are still captured clearly and delivered to the far end participants.

The larger office space will provide additional career opportunities for team members and advisers, aligning with the firms’ mission to broaden the company’s reach in Northeast Florida.

Leon County Courthouse

Project: Courtroom

CSS Southeast recently completed an installation for the Leon County Courthouse in Tallahassee, Florida.  The objective was to improve the acoustic accuracy after years of difficulties in the courtroom.

Because many courtrooms reside in older historic buildings, installation can prove challenging.  However, CSS provided a viable solution by using LEA Professional amplification technology.

This system proved to be a great option with a choice of two, four, and eight-channel systems, LEA Professional’s Dante-ready amplifiers feature direct HiZ (70V or 100V) or LoZ, selectable by channel. While the Connect Series amplifiers include tools such as a built in WiFi access point and third-party controls, as well as, a slim design that takes up limited rack space. One feature in particular stood out to the team– the capacity to remotely monitor the system with the cloud. The end result was improved sound for the entire courtroom from the judges desk to the witness stand.

While the LEA Professional system is currently installed in one courtroom, the district has plans to replicate the system across all courthouses in the future.
